Irradiance data source: Is GHI/DNI derived from a bankable dataset (e.g. Solargis, Meteonorm) with an on-site or nearby ground-station cross-check, not satellite data alone?
P50/P90 basis: Is the energy yield estimate presented with uncertainty bands, and is the P90 figure the one used in the financial model?
Land tenure: Is site control secured (lease/freehold) for the full project life plus decommissioning, with no overlapping claims?
Geotechnical data: Has a site-specific soil investigation been completed, or is the foundation design based on assumed parameters?
Site constraints: Flood risk, seismic zone, shading, and access road adequacy for delivery vehicles.
'Fully financed' claims: Verify the funding source and stage independently, unverifiable financing claims warrant additional scrutiny before technical work proceeds.
Informal communication channels: Reliance on personal email or WhatsApp rather than corporate channels for a project of stated scale is worth noting.
Circumvention and NCND terms: For introduced projects, confirm mutual non-circumvention terms are signed before sharing technical or contact information.
Scope creep in EPC contracts: Check design, procurement, and testing and commissioning responsibility are explicitly assigned.
